STUDY OF APPROXIMATE VALUE OF p FROM GREGORY’S SERIES

Abstract

            In this paper, Gregory’s series is discussed. The derivation of Gregory’s series is introduced in this paper. Certain basic formulas needed in the derivation of Gregory’s series are given. In the end, the approximate value of p by putting  in Gregory’s series is computed up to 107^th terms. A flowchart and a c-program are added at the end for a better accuracy of approximate value of p up to higher decimal places.
