Abstract
This qualitative study aimed to investigate the role of international competence development in enhancing global employability within the context of vocational education. Through purposive sampling, six students and four teachers were selected as participants for data collection. Face-to-face interviews were conducted with the students, consisting of five open-ended questions intended to explore their perceptions and experiences regarding international competence and its influence on employability. Additionally, teachers participated in interviews with three focused questions aimed at understanding their strategies and approaches in fostering international competence among students. The data collected were meticulously coded and analysed using NVivo 14 software, enabling thorough exploration of emerging themes and patterns. Findings from the study shed light on the significance of international competence in preparing students for success in the global job market. The research highlights the importance of integrating international perspectives and experiences into vocational education curricula to better equip students with the necessary skills and competencies for diverse employment opportunities worldwide. By examining the perspectives of both students and teachers, this study provides valuable insights into effective approaches for promoting international competence development within vocational education settings.
